Utrecht Paralegal Office is located 52 km east of Newcastle and 68 west of Vryheid in the north-western part of KwaZulu-Natal. The office was established in 1997, since its inception the office provide free legal services to the community and deal with cases such as:
- Social grants,
- RAF claims,
- Dependants benefits,
- Provident fund claims,
- UIF claims and
- COIDA.
The office does community educational workshops regarding human rights and socio economic rights.
Staff: Ms Zandile Khoza
Ms Khoza started in 1999 with Mr Sikhumbuzo Khumale who has since moved on to join Legal Aid South Africa in Ulundi. She obtained a Diploma in Paralegal Studies through CLRDC in partnership with the University of KwaZulu-Natal Law Faculty. She has been working at the Paralegal office ever since.
